Exploring new locations is always a blast. But, sometimes these locations don’t turn out. This was not the case in this instance. When exploring this new location it was noticable that it was very worthy of photography. with lonely trees everywhere you look surrounded by the now brown heather. Might be one to remember for the future?

This became even more clear when this group of “Schotse Hooglanders” or cows was spotted in the distance. Immediately a tree was spotted in the background (in the image below), which could serve as a nice background.

Even though this made for a nice picture, i still decided to chose the image above as “photo of the month”. This may have had something to do with the group of cows in the image. But, i think it is mostly because of the experience. I stood still for a good while, waiting for the cow on the left to lift it’s head up, resulting in this image. Which got me and my camera gear soacking wet in the process. Even though, the image below may be a better image overall.
